Waiting For It -‐ A mystical physical adventure inviting audiences to join two scientists on their playful discoveries beyond the barricades of fear.
In Waiting For It scientists work mysteriously in their laboratory until they are confronted by the voice of their creator. Embarking on a surreal journey, encountering mystical lands and fantastical creatures to find the end of all their questions.
A piece inspired by the material collected during Edinburgh festival 2014, where the duo Wild Dandelions (Alice Motta and Andrea Spisto) carried a banner with the question ́WHAT WOULD YOU DO IF YOU WEREN’T AFRAID? ́. The reactions of the public were beautiful, varied and deeply compelling. The piece in itself is our own answer to the question.
Who we are:
Wild Dandelions is a collaboration between recent alumni of the London International School of Performing Arts, bridging elements of physical theatre ranging from clown and bouffon to playfulness and grotesque, fusing these with their own avocations in philosophy, poetry, light, sound, music and audience interaction.
Alice Motta and Andrea Spisto are dreamers and creators. Meeting on one disillusioned spring day by the canal, these two women began to question their deepest fears. Deciding there and then to step into the belly of the beast, they began devising a piece on this very theme, with the dramaturgical and directorial guidance of fellow classmates and clowns including: Niklas Moller, Mary Cait Walthall, Paula Valluerca, Inda Pereda and Dan Lees.
