Flask Walk (Directed by Michael Slowe, UK)
Black Dog (Jasper Valentine, UK)
OHH MAMMA presents Black Dog.
A profile of modern mans struggle with depression and anxiety.
Joss Lindey talks about the positive steps he took to help alleviate the darkness.
The bicycle. It drives me forward. The machinations of the cogs, chain, and shifts of the gears with the pure strength of self propel me. Nothing matters when I’m on my bike.
Depression and anxiety kills more than we appreciate. In this modern world, with so many means of communication, we are less connected to each other than ever before. Not a typical bicycle movie. We hope to encourage people to talk about their feelings. This is our contribution to that conversation. BLACK DOG.
Every Ghost Has an Orchestra (Shayna Connelly, USA)
Truth hides in the margins and the artist’s role is to point to it. The question of what happens after we die is a universal question that paranormal researcher and experimental composer Michael Esposito explores. He straddles the line between spiritual and material and asks the audience to reflect on our purpose, legacy and what our actions say about who we are. Musicians and filmmakers communicate to an audience, but for whom do our ghosts sing?
Voices From Kaw Thoo Lei (Martha Gorzycki, USA)
Karen People of Burma believe no one hears their pleas for help as their country remains ravaged by a war that has lasted more than six decades. Over 10,000 photos animate a landscape over which Voices from Kaw Thoo Lei may be heard.
A poetic portrait of a beekeeper and her bees as they both prepare for the coming winter.
