An underworld enforcer’s solitary lifestyle is turned on its head by a chance meeting with a woman who needs him. We begin to see who the man is and the ghosts that both haunt and created him. Usire, (which is also the director’s debut) builds on an audio-visual synergy, as the screenplay and soundtrack were created simultaneously, coupled with the filmmakers adherence to distinctly unconventional film-making methods.
