Derek Malcolm recommends

Veteran London director Jon Sanders never resorts to grandiose statements or dramatic plotting to illustrate serious themes and Back to the Garden — the third part of his trilogy about love and loss, following 2008’s Low Tide and Late September (2012) — is a work of quiet achievement. It’s a low-budget, intimate chamber piece that says a lot more about its subject matter than many better-financed projects. …. But if this is essentially an actors film, it also belongs to the director, whose skill in orchestrating this small-scale British trilogy marks him out as a talent we should note. (Evening Standard)
