Fresh out of Exeter University, Nimble Troop brings you its debut production ‘Shoulder to Shoulder’, an original re-telling of the story of the British suffrage movement through the eyes of five women. Creating an episodic & punchy collage of these women’s lives, Nimble Troop challenges the preconception of a unified movement to give a voice to the women that history does not always relate. This devised piece, inspired by contemporary diary entries, speeches and lyrics from suffrage songs engages the audience through innovative multi-media, soundscaping and movement. ‘Shoulder to Shoulder’ creates a fresh take on a well-known narrative, highlighting that we all have a right to be heard, even though, sometimes, that might be hard to stomach.
Tickets booked online must be collected 15mins before showtime. Cash tickets are available for 30 mins at the box office.
