North London Cares

27th Oct 9.30pm £3

Shakespeare’s Sister, a philanthropic theatre group led by UCL alumna Tara Carlin and UCL student Livvy Perrett are excited to announce that their next event will be a fundraising night for the charity North London Cares.
North London Cares is a fantastic charity, that helps to prevent loneliness and isolation in the over 65s of Islington and Camden, by bringing them together with their younger neighbours for social events, clubs, and one-to-one visits. Volunteer and fundraiser Avy Tennison will be co-hosting an evening of spoken-word, poetry and storytelling to raise money for the charity, as younger and older neighbours are brought together by the stories they tell and the moments they share.
Avy Tennison is well on her way to raising the £750 she has pledged to the charity (with the current total at £633), and Shakespeare’s Sister want to help her smash that total.
The evening will kick off at 9pm on Friday 27th October at the Hen and Chickens Theatre Pub near Highbury and Islington Station. Tickets will be £3 on the door.
As it’s so close to Halloween, we will also be running a Halloween costume competition which will cost £2 at the door to enter – start planning your costume now, as the winner will receive free headshots from Tara Rose Photography!
In summary, this will be an evening of storytelling, alcohol, and some great costumes – and it’s all for charity, so you’ll get a bucket of good karma included in the price of your ticket.
