Morning is Broken
Morning is Broken tells the story of Sam (Matthew Tennyson) a student still struggling to come to terms with his sexuality. Sam meets Nick (Nigel Allen) at his brother’s wedding and, feeling an instant connection, they flee the party in the early hours. Once out in the morning light, things start to unravel as Sam struggles to come to terms with his feelings. Morning is Broken is about growing up and learning who you are and captures the drama of youth struggling with identity.
Morning is Broken was chosen by the British Film Institute to screen as part of BFI Flare, one of the world’s leading LGBT film festivals. It was subsequently selected by the British Council as part of a global showcase of LGBT short films, and was screened as part of the 5 Films 4 Freedom programme in over 55 countries.
