7th & 8th May 7.30pm £12.50
Step into the dystopian world of The Moral Women – a gripping tale of societal regression and feminist resilience.
The year’s 2027 and the UK faces a grim reality: healthcare’s a luxury and childbirth a tool for exploitation. With women’s reproductive rights hanging by a thread, illegal clinics emerge offering safe havens for women to reclaim autonomy over their bodies.
Set in the lead-up to a raid at Feminam Clinic, we follow four patients and a receptionist as they share their heart-tugging and unexpected connections to one another. From estranged family members to a dating mishap, their intertwining narratives unfold against the backdrop of a regime desperate to see their ruin.
Megan Earl’s play, The Moral Women, first debuted at Wandsworth Arts Fringe festival (2023). Featuring an all-female cast, the production has been supported by the same team since its first recorded reading with Flairbox (2022).
