Pogo Theatre presents
The Loaf of Bread
by Alan Booty
Inspired by the writing of Wolfgang Borchert

Hamburg.
WW2 is over.
Martha and her husband Hermann agree to ration their food.
At 2.30 a.m. Martha finds her husband in the kitchen. He is startled. On the table is a loaf of bread …
So begins a play now humorous, now one of sadness, fear and guilt, but also one of determination and, above all, love.
Features Alan Booty as Hermann and Joanna Karlsson as Martha
