The day that Peter Cushing died, I was rehearsing a real stinker…

A has-been actor and various never-was and probably-never-will-be companions are rehearsing a new play. Or rather, they’re giving a rehearsed reading of a rehearsed reading of a work in progress, in a pub theatre in London. Only things don’t seem to be progressing at all. Gradually, the awful truth of their situation starts to dawn on them…

Witty and poignant meta-theatre from Théâtre Volière – a celebration of and lament for the lost heroes of fringe theatre.

Walk in this forest at dawn

and you’ll breathe

at dusk

and you’ll hold your breath.

As the climate crisis brings ever more extreme weather conditions to the Vosges mountains in Alsace, a family living on the edge of the forest wrestles with its demons.

Semi-improvised dance and poetry theatre, with Thought Fox and storyteller James Peacock.

A double bill of rehearsed readings from Théâtre Volière and London’s Pomegranate Magazine – work in progress for their Poetry Plays Festival.
