Christmas 1972. Eve McDougall was incarcerated in Scotland’s toughest adult prison for two years, at the age of fifteen. Her only crime – breaking a baker’s window to steal some bread for her and her hungry siblings.
LOST CHILDREN is based on that true story. A short monologue that tells us of a child’s first terrifying night in gaol. The play was first performed at Rich Mix in 2019 and more recently at the Ramsgate Festival and will form part of a full length performance, currently a work in progress.
Eve and Sarah first met at the Hen & Chickens at Dean Stalham’s play BARRED which is when they discovered their shared heritage and decided to begin working together on LOST CHILDREN.
