Join authors Mary O’Hara and Danny Dorling in conversation with Simon Hattenstone of The Guardian about their new books, Austerity Bites: 10 Years On and Peak Injustice, both published by Policy Press.
At a time of political flux and global uncertainty, Danny and Mary explore the roots of many of today’s social ills and ask: what can be done?
Joining them will be special guests: writer and actor Ben Moor who will perform an extract from Who Here’s Lost? and a section from his forthcoming show: All Things Now New, the award-winning writer and comedian Grainne Maguire (The Last Leg, The BAFTAs) and host of The Way they Were podcast (as heard on Radio 4 and Times Radio) who will be trying to remember how to do stand up, plus Katharine Sacks-Jones, Chief Executive of Become, the national charity for care-experienced children and young people.
Venue: The Hen & Chickens Theatre, Highbury Corner, London N1 2NA 7pm-8.15pm. (With meet and greet from 6.15pm and again after 8.15pm in the bar – open to all).
